Good Candidates

Although many patients may WANT injectables, not every candidate is a GOOD candidate for injectables. It is important that you start with a proper patient assessment before recommending solutions.

What factors determine if a candidate is good for injectables?

Patients with dynamic wrinkles demonstrate the most dramatic improvements from botulinum toxin injection and are ideal candidates for treatment. Patients with static wrinkles that are visible at rest are also candidates, but results are slower and patients may require two or three consecutive botulinum toxin treatments for significant improvements. Deep static lines may not fully respond to botulinum toxin injection alone and may require combination treatment with dermal fillers or other cosmetic procedures to achieve optimal results. Setting realistic expectations at the time of consultation is important for patient satisfaction and success with botulinum toxin treatments.

You may be a good candidate for Neurotoxins if you:

  • Have moderate to severe wrinkles and lines, crow’s feet, on your face and neck that you would like to reduce the appearance of
  • Are in generally good health
  • Know the limits of Botox and have realistic expectations about what it can achieve

Botox is a fantastic option for treating lines on your face, but it does have its limitations. If you have wrinkles due to sagging skin, Botox cannot help treat these.

If you have sagging skin on your face that you don’t like the appearance of, you should talk to your doctor about a facelift. But if your only issue is moderate to severe lines on your face and neck, Botox is a safe and low-commitment way to enhance your appearance.

You can both look and feel younger thanks to this incredible cosmetic injection.

Anyone who is forming wrinkles on the upper half of the face due to constant repetition of expressions is a good candidate for this treatment. The results look natural, and getting started early in life can even prevent wrinkles from forming in the first place.

This treatment is not just for women. More and more men are seeking to look at their best for as long as possible, and this treatment is so popular among men that it is sometimes now referred to as “Brotox.” We find that women are often primarily concerned with looking older than they feel, while men are often concerned about looking angrier than they are.

One of the best things about Botox is that treatments are customizable. If you’re concerned about a dramatic change, we can take a conservative approach and apply just a bit at a time, adding injections as needed until lines and wrinkles are softened for just the look you want.

You are probably a good candidate for this treatment if you have visible lines and wrinkles on the upper half of your face.

The age at which we develop wrinkles depends on our unique physiologies and lifestyles. Some people retain their smooth, youthful look well into their 30s and even 40s. Other people start to see the beginning of crow’s feet and frown lines before they even hit 25. One of the best things about this treatment is it can be used to prevent wrinkles from appearing in the first place.

If you’re not yet seeing wrinkles and lines, take a look at your close older relatives: note where they are forming wrinkles. Ask them what age they were when they first started to really notice the signs of aging. This will give you a timeframe for when your own wrinkles are likely to appear, and by getting treatment before that time, you can put it off significantly.

This is an especially good treatment for anyone who is bothered by having “lost the genetic lottery.” Some of us simply began showing extreme signs of aging far earlier than most people, even with a very healthy lifestyle and good skincare habits. Botox is the perfect way to ensure that your face is always making you look as young as you really are.

While most people are good candidates for this treatment, there are some people who cannot have this treatment because they have had an allergic reaction to some kind of cosmetic injectable in the past.
